HP is not new the the printer market, but that does not meant that they still cannot find new features and supplements for their printers that make them appealing to customers. Their Officejet 7500 Wide Format e-All-in-One E910a is an affordable printer that was made for a low to medium workload. On top of the affordability, the Officejet 7500 also offers a few unique features that make it a good choice for homes or small businesses.

The physical layout of this device is akin to nearly every other one of HP’s printers. The input bin and scanning bed cover the top of the machine while the output bin sits directly in front. All controls, from faxing to basic copy functions, are carried out in a color touchscreen on the right side of the machine. This printer also includes HP’s ePrint CD. This program allows for a remote access to the printer by any device on the network.

The speed and quality of prints for the Officejet 7500 rivals that of any other all-in-one inkjet printer in this range. The manufacturers specs state a maximum speed of 33 prints per minute, but most basic black and white copies will come in at around 20 to 22 pages per minute. All of the functions are easy to carry out via the ePrint program or the touchscreen itself. Like most HP printers, it takes only a few taps of the screen to navigate to any feature or setting imaginable and the original setup can be done in less than 45 minutes.

With all of the basics out of the way, there are a few key points that set this printer apart from the competition. The first is the ability to wirelessly control this printer through almost any smartphone, tablet PC, or other mobile device. While this is a common feature for high-end printers, many companies simply overlook such a useful system for remote printing. The hardware that makes this printer standout is the extra-large bins that allow for printing on unusually sized paper. The largest settings allow for prints up to 13″ x 19″.

Performing well in the page per minute speeds, quality of the prints, and price per page, the Officejet 7500 Wide Format e-All-in-One E910a is a good choice for any home office or small business. Along with wireless connection and extra-large printing capabilities, this printer does house features that very few other devices in this price range or size can offer.

The name Epson has become synonymous with home office and small business printers. For over 30 years, this Japanese company has been maintaining the watermark that all other printers have been compared to. One of their most recent additions, the Epson WorkForce 1100 Color Inkjet Wide Format 11×17 Printer, is now offering a handful of features that once again makes Epson a respectable choice for most small offices.

If nothing else, Epson continues to prove that printers do not require a steep learning curve when users are attempting to operate them. Right out of the box, the WorkForce 1100 can be setup and printing pages in as little as a few minutes. The included software offers very little in the way of frills, but all of the options are straightforward and can be downloaded onto Apple, Windows, or Linux devices. As with most Epsons, the Workforce 1100 conveniently situates the input bin at the top and rear of the printer while the output bin sits on the face of the machine. Most, but not all of the basic controls can be carried out on the printer itself with a handful navigational buttons. They have also included a front-facing USB port for easier access in tight spaces.

For an inkjet printer, the Workforce 1100 produces very high quality prints that are comparable to laser prints. The manufacturer sets the print speed at upward of 30 pages per minute, but most users will experience closer to 25 for black and white copies and 15 for color prints. Operators can opt for top quality color prints through the included software, and this will slow speeds down to just under 10 pages per minute.

There are two features that make this inkjet printer stand out from the competition. The first is the wide format hardware that can handle pages up to 13″ wide. This makes it one of the very few affordable inkjet options for larger flyers and brochures. The second useful feature is the convenient dual-sided printing option that can reduce paper costs by 50% in certain circumstances.

Overall, the Epson WorkForce 1100 Color Inkjet Wide Format Printer has shaped up to be a very solid choice for an entry level to mid-range printer. Between the affordable costs of Epson ink and the quality that this printer produces, those looking for a device that can handle two-sided printing, large brochures, and keep within budget will not be disappointed.

I’ve always bought HP printers in the past but was disenchanted with the ink waste & having to buy cartiages about once monthly. This is the best printer I’ve ever had! It has 2 paper trays & will copy up to 11X17 paper. It uses high yield print cartiages. It is a workhorse! I am sold on Brother printers from now on!

This is a great all in one! It has a feeder for multi-page scanning and copying! No need to lift the cover and slap each page in individually.

I was a die-hard HP fan, but this Brother printer is great!

It is big and heavy, so you need some space for it, but it really replaces the scanner and printer. I bought a stand and have this unit, my older printer, and room for paper storage all on one cart.

High Quality, Wireless Workhorse

Pros:

Cons:

Best Uses:

Home Office, Personal

Three-to-six months

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The ability to print on paper and scan documents up to 11″x17″ was the selling factor for me – no other printer exists on the market that can do both of these (for under $300!).

We have used this printer heavily since purchasing it and have not had any problems at all. The high-yield print cartridges last incredibly long and make the cost per page very competitive!

It does require a large surface area, but I guess that is a reasonable trade-off for being able to scan 11″x17″ maps/ documents.

I have owned many printers over the past 20 years, and this would be one of the top. A great buy!

“Overall this is a great product. Setting up the printer was simple, even the network setup. I connected the OJ7000 to my wireless router since I have desktops and a laptop (which is wireless). No more taking my laptop over to the printer and connecting to the USB port to print or having to turn my desktop on to share a printer. The print quality is excellent on black and white, photo quality and all types of printing in-between, and easily prints fast perfect 13×19 print jobs. I did have to get used to the time it takes to begin a print job as the printhead is moving back and forth setting itself up. It’s only seconds more than other std format hp printers I use which is understandable since the carriage the print head travels on is over 13 inches instead of 8.5 inches. When it starts printing It prints very fast even for the highest quality large format photo prints up to 13×19. The reason I gave 4 stars for features is that I would like a straight through feed from the rear for my printing of heavier (thick) cover stock and the heavier glossy photo paper. Perhaps HP will be adding an optional straight thru feeder that connects to the rear of the printer where the rear access panel is located.”

A huge package, but the footprint of the printer is then nevertheless encouraging:
on my 60 x 45 cm large wardrobe, it is exactly right ….
However, the drawer protrudes slightly over …. but it can be made easily and push …
The guide is very good, installing the software works easily (with Apple),
this is all very encouraging.
Then the printing is indeed fast, but pretty loud (clean nozzle?) (Well, I work mostly at night …) and you can not adapt to noise …. That is the missing star … Well, matter of getting used ….
To the “scope” of the cartridges I can tell, is not long enough in use …. The output is good, is as black text, images ok well, for my purposes (small flyers and posters) perfectly adequate – -
recommended at this price, absolutely!!

Individual color tanks:

Some inkjet printers use a separate tank for each color. Others have tri-color cartridges with three colors in one. Individual tanks let you replace only the color that runs out rather than tossing a tri-color cartridge that may have some ink left.

11×17 printer, also regarded as a wide formatted printer, can print on tabloid sized paper which is 11 inches height by 17 inches width, just think of join two piece of regular letter sized paper with their long side together. ‘Tabloid’ as well as ‘Letter’, ‘Legal’ and the ANSI series are mainly used in the US and Canada, while European uses ISO A page sizes, such as A3, A4.

To choose a suitable 11×17 printer, firstly you should know what application you will mainly use it for , to print the text, or the photograph, then consider the times of printing you may require, occasionally or frequently.

11×17 Ink jet printers can print by spraying liquid ink to form the text or image, because the printing process is reply on a print head’s back and forth movement, the speed is slow. They are very good at colorful photography printing however the printing quality for text is not so high.

A 11×17 laser printer uses a fine plastic powder(toner) to print by heating it up and then melted it on to the paper instead of using ink. They are faster than inkjets, and have the best printed text quality.

Generally speaking , for black and white printing, tabloid laser is a economic choice although the machine cost is expensive the per cartridge can print much more pages and much faster than a 11×17 ink jet. In case of you need more on printing photos, then you should choose an ink jet 11×17 printer because of the high resolution and vivid effect.

Buying a 11×17 printer can bring your business a lot of benefit, no more to join two piece of regualr paper for a large one. It is especially helpful for printing lagre format drawings, posters, and presentations.

The standard to choose a good photo printer varies on your requirement, size of paper, quantity of supported color, budget, etc.

Now printer is becoming cheaper to be purchased, some model even is sold at less than 200 USD, thanks to advancement of technology, the cheap one still have good quality.

But you should concern about the ink cartridges ink consumption of the cheap photo printers, because usually the cheap printer will run out of ink cartridges very soon, because the manufacturer will try to make a profit from selling them other than directly from selling the printer which make it expensive in term of ink consumption.

Many users will use third-party ink to replace the original ink as long as the one you buy is of a quality product, however most good replacement inks are the same price as the original one.

If you have more budget, you should consider buying more expensive photo printers which rated between 400 and 1000 USD that have much better printing quality, longer life and will greatly save your ink cost.

Ink spillage is another issue you should take into account, you have to the clean the print heads of inkjet photo printer especially the cheap one from time to time. The cleaning of print heads is to use a little of ink to flush the head, but a few printers would need huge amounts of ink for cleaning.

The printing quality of a photo printer relies on many factors, but the capacity to uniformly fill a patch with color and color accuracy will be the most determining factor. A good printer should print color accurately. Most cheap photo printers are able to print your photos directly from the digital camera, but if the photo quality is not so good, you may need to edit it on your pc.

In summary, if you have high demand on photo printing quality, and budget is enough, don’t choose the cheapest printer, you will have more cost on ink consumption, just choose the high-end photo printer. Canon and HP are reliable choice, Epson is also good in term of large format photo printer.

Mainly I use it for 11 x 17 prints of photos for clients. It’s wonderfully quiet, always runs smoothly, and gives beautiful results on all the Epson papers I’ve used on it so far (Premium Photo Paper Glossy, Presentation Paper Matte, and Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte.) I’ve had no problems with the utility software, I think you just can’t find out the ink levels when it is busy printing. For years I had an Epson C80, which I wore out. I replaced it with a CX5800F, which also gave beautiful results when it worked right (I loved Dura-brite inks), but it was no end of trouble, with frequently clogged nozzles and weird random image-placement errors. After the temperamental CX5800F, The 1400 is a great relief… no built-in scanner or Fax, but it’s given me everything I asked of it. The inks are expensive, but since they haven’t clogged once, and and I haven’t had to reprint anything, there’s been no waste. The outflow tray is the only part that seems fragile. I have cats who walk on everything, so I close it whenever it’s not in use, but besides that it seems well designed. Can’t wait to print at 13″ x 19″!

Excellent!

I’m a professional artist as well as an amature photographer. I have to have quality prints. This printer fulfills all of my needs and then some. The best part for me was being able to print right out of the box without any color adjustments!

Is this a printer for someone who just wants to print 4×6 family photos? No. But if you’re looking for a printer that does excellent enlargements, look no further.

“I have had this printer since 2004 and love everything about it. I use it with the HP Rip, HP Inks and HP media and have had such good experience with it’s versatility, its print-out quality, it’s hard work, (and no repair problem!) It’s footprint is just right for my small studio. It’s function is precise and smart enough to correct me if I try something incorrectly. I get so excited with anticipation when a print comes out and see the perfect results, especially when its on canvas! I have had experiences where I had to call Support, either in the set-up in the beginning or recently due to a computer glitch—no fault of the printer—and the HP support is OUTSTANDING! I have recommended this printer to many colleagues as a best buy and smart choice if their work takes on the variety as I do, from commercial graphics to fine art. I look forward to the next generation to be as equal as this.”

Called HP up and they sent me another one same make and model. Now im going to town. Dont waste your money on any other kind of printer. Best printer i’v ever seen. It does not take long for me to print a report with pictures. Over all I give it ten stars. Good Job Hp”

“I have loved this printer. I think I’ve sung the praises of the 2800 for three years. Perfect for churning out flyers, mockups of book covers, marketing sheets, etc. Good color, good speed, good ink economy, huge duty cycle. And the wonderful guarantee that should the printer go down, HP will and does have a replacement in your office the next day.
However.
As time has gone by I have had to get another and another replacement. They are all refurbished and not so 100% refurbished as formerly. The current one has been behaving very badly this week, and I have become pretty exasperated. Adding to the dismay is that the last 2 new drivers do have what another reviewer calls “bad Y turns” — favorite, no, essential — functions simply dropped. Gone.
My worst grief is that there really is nothing to match the 2800′s (former) glory. I just renewed my replacement carepaq but not sure what the outcome will be. Right now I’m stuck in the middle of a job because — well, never mind. I hope this is helpful. If this were as it WAS, I’d give a 100% 5-stars. Not sure what HP has in mind for this printer but maintaining it seems not to be high priority.”

“I purchased between 8 and 12 of these printers. I liked them so much that I bought some and put them in storage. I have not had any problems at all. No paper jams, long life on print heads and ink. I personally think that a better printer can not be found for the money. I have not had to do anything to these printers but plug them in. I have recommended them to all of my family that use computers and printers whether for business applications or just personal use.”
